Wilson Staff Dry Tech Cart Bag Review

Wilson Staff Dry Tech Cart Bag Review

Wilson Staff Dry Tech Cart Bag Review

The new Wilson Staff Dry Tech Cart Bag has a similar design and look to the Ogio Aquatech Cart Bag.  We stocked the Aquatech Cart bag back in 2014 and it proved to be a popular bag, so much so that it was one of the first bags in the Ogio range to sell out that year.

We found that when customers looked at the quality of the bag and particularly the waterproofing material used in the construction of the bag it sold itself.  Irish golfers might not be overly familiar with Ogio, they are a US company who primarily manufacture luggage.  In other words bags are their specialty.

When the Aquatech Cart Bag sold out we went looking for something similar but to no avail, we found similar quality bags however they were considerably more expensive with limited availability.  As soon as we saw the Wilson Staff Dry Tech Cart Bag with a price tag under €200 we ordered them in.  Similar in design and construction to the Aquatech (and cheaper too) with a sleek black finish we knew it would be a winner.

The Wilson Staff Dry Tech bag is made with a sturdy polyester fabric with a protective PU coating, with a matching rain hood ensuring that your clubs and gear stay dry in the wet.  Importantly the zips are waterproof meaning water does not seep through thanks to a hot melt stitch line.

The bag has a large 14 way top (9” x 11”) with four full length dividers, including an oversize pit for large handled putters.  The top features three integrated grab handles to make it easier to mount onto a push trolley or electric cart.

There are seven zipped pockets in total (all waterproof) with two full length side apparel pockets a large front ball pocket, valuables pocket and three accessory pockets.  Although the valuables pocket is waterproof I wouldn’t recommend putting it to the test by leaving an expensive phone in their during heavy rain.

Given our Irish climate a waterproof bag is definitely worth considering as you never know when the heavens will open or how changeable our weather can be.  Although it seems expensive €199 for a waterproof golf bag does represent good value.

The Wilson Staff Dry Tech Cart Bag is available to purchase from our Cole Golf website or can be viewed in our store in the Tougher Business Park in Naas.
