Cobra Amp Cell Driver Review

We are delighted to announce we will be stocking Cobra Golf equipment in Cole Golf for 2013.

We are really excited about the new Cobra Amp Cell drivers which will be available to purchase in store from the 1st February 2013. We have had a look at the Amp Cells and we were very impressed by what we saw from Cobra.

Choice of colours

Firstly, you can choose from four colours, red, blue, orange and silver. As a Man United fan my choice has to be red. Like a lot of Munster and Liverpool fans also!

MyFly - Adjustability you can measure

The Amp Cells feature the new MyFly technology, which allows the loft and trajectory settings to be adjusted from 8.5° up to 11.5° with 9.5° and 10.5° draw settings.

What's clever about this technology innovation is it is adjust ability that can be measured. There is a small window in the hosel which allows you to set the club head exactly to your preferred setting.

Think of it like the gears in your car. When your cruising on the motorway your in fifth gear, when your starting the car your in first gear. Its not a case of finding the optimal speed you drive at and adjusting your car to stay in that one gear.

Let's give you a quick example of how we can use the adustability setting on the Amp Cell. Its a windy day on the first tee, blowing towards you. Let's set club head to 8.5 for a lower ball flight.

Your now on the fourth tee driving with the wind behind you, let's adjust to 11.5° for a higher ball flight and let the wind catch your drive. We know we have set the club head to 8.5° on the first tee and we know we set the club head to 11.5° on the fourth. Its adjustability you can measure.

E9 technology

The club face remains in a neutral position for all the loft options. The Amp Cells also use E9 Technology. Most golfers tend to mishit with the driver in the top right (toe) or bottom left (heel) of the club face.

What Cobra have done is increase the club face using an elliptical face design making it more forgiving for mishit shots in the heel and toe areas.

With the Amp Cell you have a choice of shafts, stiff or regular, four colours, and six different loft and trajectory settings.

We think the Amp Cell is going to be one of the best selling drivers of 2013 and can't wait to get them in store
